All of the KiM programs maintain and are carried by meditation practice and mindfulness to get in real contact in the present with the “Observer” who perceives the constant movement of our minds and its incessant production of images, explanations and thoughts.
The meditation practice (passive and active styles) generates the necessary perspective to perceive our interaction between our mental contents and the world that surrounds us. It is the art to be caringly present and attentive with ourselves which can be a valuable departure point in the moment of creating, improvising, taking decisions or just being.
Integrated Martial Arts (Contact Dao & Qiong)
Contact Dao ist a corporal art developed by KiM with many years of practical investigation based on essential principles within the integrated martial arts of Aikido, Tui Shou ( Chinese pushing hands), Brasilian Jiujitsu and the essence of flow and improvisation derived from Contact Dance. The work is complemented by the practice of Qigong ( healing movements that coordinate intention, breath and spirit). Martial Arts are an excellent path to experience the unity of mind-body and the most fundamental principles of physical movement such as centre, flow, interaction, rootedness, active relaxation and full attentiveness.
